Since the first bleary eyed ravers and paint splattered artists arrived in the 80's, the area of Hoxton and Shoreditch has been transformed from a place of lost industry and neglected property to a hive of creative exploration and activity. Whether you will forever be the proud owner of a Hoxton fin or have long since re-located to Peckham ('apparently the new Shoreditch') the area still retains some of its hay day appeal and remains home to the largest number of creatives per achingly cool cafe-cum-bar-cum-gallery in Europe.

No one can deny there's always something going on or someone to look at. The Old Shoreditch Station has conveniently large windows and pavement benches for pleasurable people watching. Always check the billboards under the Old Street bridge for guerrilla 'advertising, such as Julie Andrews on a rubbish dump, usually alive with the latest sounds from the multitude of nearby music venues.
